Question about a skin spot?

Im 13 years old, almost 14 and i have a large mole - like thing on my side of my nose its raised and im very self conscious about it. Its been there for as long as i can remember but in the last few years its been growing bigger. I went to a skin specialist but he said he couldnt remove it for many reasons. The first is he is concerned about the scaring, and the local anaesthetic hurting once its removed and he also i must wait 2-3 years for it to fully grow but because its annoying me so much i want it removed. Has anyone else had the procedure of removing a raised mole and how bad was the scaring? Did the local hurt in the nose? and would it be ok to get it done now rather than a few years later.
