Does God let you stay as you are when you get to Heaven?

No, we change because we can not have the physical body that we now have. Heaven is a different realm of existence than the one we now live in. Everything will be different, except for our love and our individual soul and spirit. It's not a matter of God accepting you the way you are. He sent His Son to redeem us for that very reason.
