I want to go to Brazil but don't know what to see?

I'm in iraq right now and will be getting home in december. On my 2 weeks leave over christmas I want to go to brazil. I know about some waterfalls and Rio de Janeiro, but i'd like to know what all could I see in a week and a half and where exactly should I go?
