What objects can symbolize being civilized?

I'm doing a photo shoot where the premise is to shoot pictures according to the themes or ideas in a certain novel. I chose The Lord of the Flies, and I'm planning on shooting pictures describing being civilized vs. being wild/primal. I'm already planning on using a tie/nice clothes/business attire vs. tribal face paint/blood/leaves/feathers/etc. What other objects can I use to symbolize being civilized? Also, do you think there are other themes or ideas in the book that I could turn into a good photograph?
