We just had an earthquake! Any seismologists out there?

There was just a pretty good-sized earthquake near San Jose, California. Early reports rate it a 5.6. It's on or near the Hayward fault, which has been predicted to cut loose any time now for years. Is there any way to tell if this quake relieved the pressure or if it may just be a precursor to a larger quake?
