Dream interpretation please?

Maybe in the back of your mind you thought, maybe not consciously that he'd be different, and with things being different now that he is older and more grown up, that you would get back together or at least there was a possibility? But seeing his "how to guide" which could possibly represent his thinking about you two getting together, shows that he hasn't changed, or doesn't know how? And the clothes being strewn around could represent the jumbled mess that he made of everything before. And his apology shows that he realizes that he made a mistake and don't know how to fix it?
